Eastern Upper Peninsula Transportation
Established in 1975, EUPTA operates three local vehicle and passenger ferries to the nearby islands of Sugar, Neebish and Drummond. EUPTA also operates a rural public bussing system with scheduled runs to and from Sault Ste. Marie and Kincheloe, Michigan. In Luce County EUPTA operates Dial-a-Ride services with an on demand response pick up. We also work with Michigan Transportation Connection – Connect UP, providing individuals transportation to non-emergency medical appointments.

Due to the current low water levels we are experiencing at this time, the transit of heavy construction equipment and loads is highly discouraged. We ask that you lighten your loads to mitigate risk of damage to the ferry, docks, and your equipment. EUPTA will not be responsible for any damage incurred to your equipment as we are asking you to lighten your loads.
