Transit Customer Survey
Eastern U.P. Transportation Authority and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) have asked a team from Michigan State University (MSU) to assess customer satisfaction and trip purpose of transit riders. The results of the survey will help MDOT and EUPTA improve transit for you and other transit riders across the state. Your responses will be confidential and your information will be evaluated only in combination with other questionnaires received. You must be 18 years or older to participate in this survey.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to refuse to participate in the survey, change your mind, or withdraw at any time.
Dr. Z. Kotval-K, assistant professor at MSU, is available to answer any questions you may have and can be reached at kotvalze@msu.edu or (517) 353-5460.
You indicate your voluntary agreement to participate by completing and returning this survey. This survey should take between 5-10 minutes to complete.

Sault Ste. Marie Area

20 Trip Commuter Passes

EUPTA offers safe and affordable bus transportation to rural areas around Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. With Scheduled routes on weekdays between:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and Kincheloe

EUPTA No longer has routes to and from:

  • Drummond Island/DeTour & Sault Ste. Marie
  • Rudyard & Sault Ste. Marie
  • Pickford/Cedarville & Sault Ste. Marie

There are limited weekend runs from Sault Ste. Marie to Kincheloe.  Please check the schedule, times with asterisks are 7 days a week.  Please note times without an asterisk are Monday – Friday only runs.

We continue to follow the most recent recommendations from the Office of Passenger Transportation, Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan Public Transportation Association, and the Federal Transit Administration.  Our transit vehicles are sanitized and cleaned as frequently as possible to help prevent transmission of COVID-19.


Newberry Area – Dial-a-Ride

Our Luce County Dial-a-Ride operates in the Village of Newberry. With operation hours from:

  • Mon – Fri 8am – 4pm
  • Wed & Fri 5pm -8pm
  • Sat 9am – 4pm

This is a demand response operation and travels with in a 5 mile radius of the village. If you are spending some time in Newberry and would like to have the convenience of not having to drive, let our Dial-a-Ride get you there.

The Curtis run operates on a limited schedule. For further information: Call- 906-293-3305.

Rates for EUPTA Newberry Dial-a-Ride

  • Newberry – $4.50 Senior/Handicap – $2.25
  • Curtis – $6.00 Senior/Handicap – $3.00

EUPTA’s busses will not be in service on Major Holidays
